I totally agree with you Ps Nkosinathi C Dlamini ; it seems in our days fasting has become a hobby or sport so to speak. The other day we had the same discussion with a collegue friend of mine who had been boasting about their fasting week at church. You know i feel people are constantly confusing fasting prayer and separation. This to me is clearly not a time to twist Gods arm or to get self praise from my peers that one can also do it or a fashion statement…, but a time to seek Gods face. . as the bible says seek ye first the kingdom God and His righteousness and ALL these things will be added unto us..simple plain text.. no need to do arm twisting or whatsoever.. this takes us back to dwelling in the word of God and not depending on hear says….
